IELTS-
The IELTS test is an internationally recognised
language test of the highest standard. Universities, companies and even
governments primarily demand this qualification. IELTS was developed jointly by
the British Council, IDP Education Australia and Cambridge ESOL. Visit the IELTS

Students applying to study in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the
US.
Medical professionals planning to work or follow further study in the UK,
Australia or the US.
People planning to emigrate to Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Why do I need to take the IELTS test?
IELTS assesses your English language ability. A good score (usually 6.0 and
above) is an entry requirement for many colleges and universities worldwide.

What is Computer - based IELTS (CB IELTS)
CB IELTS is a computer-based version of IELTS. It consists of Listening,
Reading and Writing tests. To maintain our personal approach, all IELTS Speaking
tests will still be conducted face-to-face. The CB IELTS is being offered once
each month at British Council, New Delhi.
Please note that CB IELTS is only available in the Academic module.

How much does the IELTS test cost?
The fee for IELTS is 6825 Indian Rupees.
How can I prepare for the test?
We conduct regular and intensive IELTS preparation courses. All you have to
do is make an appointment for a placement test on any Tuesday or Saturday from
09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon by coming into the British Council. We will assess your
level of English and advise you on your eligibility. You can then register for
any course in advance. Moreover you could access the Council library where we
have relevant IELTS preparatory material for reference.
